Duties of a Home-School Coordinator
The Home School Coordinator serves students of school age. The coordinator is trained to get to know the people with whom he\she works and to understand backgrounds and problems. She uses this as a means of assisting the school and parents to achieve:
- A higher level of involvement in the students' education
- Increased parent awareness of education in their child's life
- Increased student awareness of educational responsibilities
The Home-School Coordinator will check on absent
students in homes with out phones to ensure that child's safety.
The Home-School Coordinator is that "someone" who can assist
families
in a variety of ways, acting as a liaison between home and school.
