NMSAA Spring Meeting
Cut Bank Administration Building
Monday, April 19, 2010
9:00 AM
Meeting came to order at 9:00 AM.
Corrections and/or Additions to the agenda: add election of officers before we leave.
Make corrections on AD directory.
Attendance: All present. Brandon Kavanagh is the new Co-AD for Cut Bank
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer’s report: $775.07 in checking account.
Reading of previous meeting’s minutes: Add VB to lengthening the season. Motion to accept as changed. Seconded. Passed unanimously.
No association dues need to be paid for next year.
Track entries: Go to athletic.net set up an account for your middle school. Then 24 hours. later, you’ll get your account password etc. You can set up your entries. Be sure to sign up for a middle school account.
Discussion regarding BB divisions being created took place. EG said that its administration is against the change. CJI said they are against it. BMB said 4 coaches were against it, and 2 were against it. Heart Butte and Valier are for it. Valier said that the larger schools are favored by the current rule. Voiced vote: BMS,
10 Nays, 3 Yays: Proposal did not pass.
Constitutional wording changes proposals: none
Dates for seasons were chosen.
Individual scheduling took place.
Elections of officers took place. Motion nominations are Jim Gregg for President and Tara Thielman for Sec./Treas. Seconded. Passed unanimously.
Motion to adjourn took place at 11:50 PM. Seconded. Passed unanimously.
