New Business and Agenda Items:
President Gregg asked for discussion about a no jewelry policy being added to the NMSAA constitution. Tara Theielman spoke in favor of adding a
blanket statement to cover the no jewelry rule. This would allow some consistency with Montana High School Association rules and help our officials
when enforcing these rules. Tara Theilman moved that “Northern Middle School Athletic Association will follow all MHSA rules unless otherwise stated
in the NMSAA constitution”. Motion was seconded by Mike White, motion carried.
Pat Armstrong discussed the possibility of scheduling some 6th grade volleyball games with our league. A discussion followed about 6th grade involvement
in all NMASS activates. I was decided that each school will look at their numbers for next year and contact Browning if they are able to put a 6th grade team
President Gregg explained that we need a motion to allow Courtney to pay our 1099 form (tax exempt). There was no dollar amount given at this time. Tara
