Monday, March 10, 2008
9:00 AM Meeting opened
All members are present.
Treasurer’s report: $670.07 in the checking account.
Add weight class in wrestling to the agenda.
Previous meeting minutes read and motion to accept as read. Seconded. Passed unanimously.
Some schools haven’t paid for the final four GBB tournaments. Those schools will be billed if checks are not sent soon.
Discussion took place regarding $20.00 fee for teams at final four tournaments. Cut Bank has asked to increase $35.00. Brian motioned to raise fee to $35.00 for all sports that have a fee for any district or divisional conference tournaments. This would be a constitutional change. This is to begin this weekend for the GVB tournament. Seconded by Ray. Passed unanimously.
Char asked schools to generate a bill for the tournament registration fee after the tournaments have taken places.
Constitutional change discussion regarding a wrestling weight class addition took place. Motion to add 185 lb. weight class to the constitution beginning this weekend. Seconded by Scott. Passed unanimously.
Discussion regarding VB seeding took place. Shelby and Valier had a discrepancy for Shelby silver and Shelby maroon team win-loss record. Shelby’s record was accepted.
Coin flip took place for 7thth grade 4-6th places. Browning A will be seeded 4th. Shelby Silver will be seeded 5th. Valier will be seeded 6th.
Coin flip took place for 8th grade 4-6th places. Cut Bank will finish 4th. Sunburst will be seeded 5th. Valier will be seeded 6th.
Decisions on playing times and dates took place.
8th grade final four VB tournament will be on Saturday, March 15th at Shelby 9:00 1st match. The 3 other matches will follow immediately after previous matches.
7th grade final four VB tournament will be on Saturday, March 15th at CJI 9:00 1st match. The 3 other matches will follow immediately after previous matches.
Track Schedule Change: Friday, April 25th track meet CJI & Sunburst co-host at Cut Bank track. It will begin at 2:00 but check website for time check.
Next meeting will be Monday, April 21st to 9:00. Bring calendars.
Meeting adjourned at 10:00 AM.
