Meeting called to order at 9:05 AM: Addition or corrections to the Agenda:

  • Update on the bank account
  • Constitutional wording for football, basketball
  • Wrestling discussion

Treasurer’s Report/Reading of the last minutes:  Account currently has $351.43 and we are currently trying to obtain a tax ID or Tax Exempt status for
the account so that it can be established at Teton Banks in Fairfield.  Jim will contact members of the association if a motion needs to be passed for an
action of this procedure.

Reading of the past minutes: Let the minutes reflect the amendment of 11:25 PM to AM and that Courtney Bake will not be sharing position with Loren
Tacke.

New Business and Agenda Items:

Nomination of Courtney Bake for the secretary/treasurer position by Jim Gregg, second-Mike White, no discussion, motion passes unanimously.

Discussion of membership dues: Jim asked if anyone was adverse to payment of dues, seeing none, dues will be assessed this year to the
NMSAA for $50.00.

Discussion of Administrative passes and if all received them.

Constitutional wording Proposals:  Football-current wording is that the 7th grade play first.  Motion made by Loren Tacke to amend the language to reflect
that 8th grade plays first, second-John Shepherd, no further discussion, motion passed unanimously.

Jim Gregg requested that all schools report their results to him ASAP after competition so that he has double results to rely on.

Wrestling discussion:  Loren has visited with some other schools that participate in NMSAA wrestling season and they have stated that they have a basketball
season that interferes with them participating in our season and they were wondering if we would change our season.  No one was in favor of this.

Appointed Dan Belcourt-Browning as administrator of the NMSAA officiating pool.  Updated lists of MOA’s are to be referenced to Dan.

Discussion of Boys Basketball:  East Glacier may be fielding a young team, Dan will call them and see what their season look like since they were not represented
at the meeting.

Reminder that rosters need to be submitted to Jim the Wednesday before the first game.

Discussion of 7th grade games being 6 minute quarters and 8th being 7 minutes and when there are teams with full rosters it is difficult for coaches to get all the
players in.  Motion was made to change constitution wording for the 7th grade to play 7 minute quarters for the 2013-14 season by Jim Gregg.  Second-Loren
Tacke, no discussion, motion passed unanimously.

Girls Basketball Final Four update and discussion:  Choteau won both the 7th and 8th grade leagues and will be hosting.  Individual scheduling of games took place
and posted to the website.
